Ostia Antica is the largest archaeological complex in Lazio. Because of its beauty and the interest of the excavations, the Archaeological Park has been classified by UNESCO as one of the major archaeological sites in the world. In December 2015 a new path was opened that makes a valuable part of the excavations accessible to everyone.
The new route, which runs partly along the river, has a length of about 250 meters and is added to another route also equipped for the blind already existing in the area of the Piazzale delle Corporazioni and the Theater. Overall, the accessibility paths of the site cover a length of 500 meters.
